[g2] vocal processing (pitch shift)

hey guys,

i want to do the following processes to vocals on the G2 -
a) sample (small) slices in real time, and be able to repeat them at  
division of clock speed (i suppose fairly simple but i;ve not tried) and
b) pitch shift without corrupting the formants (even if it sounds  
really crazy).


for b, i've heard of using a vocoder and putting dry signal in  
modulator and pitch shifted (traditional style with forman shifting).  
does that work?

any patch examples of either method recommended?
