As they say in the classics, if in doubt reinstall...
I uninstalled and re-installed Lasso and all is right with the world.
Thanks again to Marc for his expert advice and great article on

Subject: [Semi-OT] Linux Newbie Broke Lasso/Apache
Hi All,
Following the excellent instructions provided by Marc Pope (thanks
Marc), I managed to download and install Centos and then install Lasso
successfully - got the initialisation screen and all was right with the
world.
I needed to have a number of IP addresses handling different functions
on the machine, so with some Google research I added a number of aliases
to eth0 - ifconfig shows them all in place and I was quietly confident
all was going well, but when I attempted to go back to lassoadmin, it
seems I have managed to break something.
Without any prior understanding of what things should look like, I
opened the http configuration tool and things seem as I might expect -
it is listening on all ports on port 80 (tried changing to just one IP
address without success).
Any thoughts as to what I may have done or what I can do to
diagnose/resolve a solution to get Lasso back running?
Very best regards,
Rick Draper
