[Petals] "Unknown" state of the component

Hi all,

We have used petals web console to install
"petals-bc-soap-3.1-beta1.zip" component and it happened to fail in some
circumstences (e.g. we observed this to happen if timeout condition
occurs).
The web console shows component state as "Unknown". We cannot remove
this componenet and reinstall it because all state changing buttons are
removed in the web console related to that component.

Can you provide us some info how to recover from this "Unknown" state
(e.g. undeploy components, remove it manually)?

Thanks,
Darko

Hi Darko,

When a component of a SA is in an UNKNOW state, all the states are
settable. However, if you can not retrieve a stable state, you can force
the uninstalling or the undeployment of the artifact.

There is some improvement to bring to the web console about that.

Nevertheless, you can stil use jconsole to administrate PEtALS and
access to all these features, in a less pretty 'look and feel' :-(
