Metro 1.3 Docs and Tooling testing with NB 6.5
* NB 6.5 is downloaded from
http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/latestIssues Found
* In Section 1.1 for required software , the
link(

pointing to client-enabled-fromjava.zip is not available.
* 15.1.1 refers to .NET 3.0 . Should be .NET 3.5
* 15.1.1 refers to Microsoft Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) for July
Community Technology Preview. But it doesn't specify from where. We used Visual
Studio 2008 instead.
* All the following observations are from 17.2
o step 4(c) says, Type
jdbc:derby//localhost:1527/wstxSampleDB;create=true in the Database URL
field.But in the 6.5 version of netbeans for creating new connection, each token
of the URL is given a specific text field to key in the information. The
database URL field no more exists.Screenshpts attached for Creating a new

o In step 5(a), It is documented as, If the domain is already
registered, goto step 4(g). But this should be 5(j).
o In Step 7, To verify that you have toplink essentials library,
Select tools and then Library Manager, but the menu item is just Library which
opens the Library manager window.
o In step 6(g), it should be server instance you registered in step 5
instead of step 4.
o In step 8(c), Right click on SimpleService, but the service name is
only Service.May it should be changed to SimpleService with a space between
Simple and Service.
o Step 11 (d) says, In the package field type wstx.sample.client, but
the entry field is not enabled in this version of Netbeans.
o At step 10(d),while registering the SampleServiceClient client with
the appropriate instance (domain2) of the Application Server (or GlassFish)
server. The option Open Required Projects check box is not enabled.
o This one is very serious. When creating a new web service client, at
step 11(c), the URL generated by netbeans is
http://localhost:4848/SampleService-war/SimpleService?wsdl instead of
http://localhost:8080/SampleService-war/SimpleService?wsdl. As a result when I
click on Finish button in the dialog I see an error message saying Problem with
downloading wsdl or schema file. The error dialog is provided in the attachment
with name error.jpg. Due to this I am unable to go forward with the remaining
part of using Atomic Transactions chapter.
* From chapter 11, the chapter number in the content is +1 to the chapter in
index.Say all the pages in chapter 11 have subheadings as 12.x
