Exampple:
I have exactly one record with a Timestam-field, the field-Value is '21.07.2008 09:52:30'
with a select-statement "slect * from abc where Stamp <> '21.07.2008 09:52:30' i get this record.
The statements "select * from abc where Stamp < ..." and "select * from abc where Stamp > ..." are ok.
