[Cooker] X login Failed

Good Day All

I get the following error when trying to log into a X session.

After creating a user I can log into X. but after my first reboot when I try and log in it tells me Authentication failed.

I then drop to init 3 and log in as said user with my password and it logs in.

I can browse all my files.

I create a new user and then restart dm and I can then log in. (new user)

but after a reboot I get the same error message again.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to correct this?

Can you take a look at /var/log/auth.log and other log files to see if  
there is something useful ?

gdm-binary[5511]: gkr-pam: couldnṫ get the user name: Conversion error

gdm-binary[5511]: pam_nologin(gdm:auth): cannot determine username

I installed kdm it does not give me the error just after I enter my password the screen goes blank and the when it comes on it is asking for the username/password again

kdm: 0]5360]: pam_unix(kde:auth): Authentication passed for tsyko from (uid=0)
