That has broken firefox3 at least.

Sadly I have no idea how to submit firefox3..... (I tried numerous
things but failed miserably).

Hehe it is impossible to push ff3 on contrib/releases like it was
discussed some time ago.

Anyways ff3 is such form will not live to long, because i am about to
release xulrunner soon ;)

I'd suggest to make firefox3 live on its own now, since it can coexist
with mozilla-firefox, it does not have to be a branch of it.

svn+ssh://svn.mandriva.com/svn/packages/cooker/firefox

(and also delete the unused mozilla-firefox3 branch)

I would suggest instead to merge firefox in the mozilla-firefox (or
firefox) main package and be done with the old one..

I'd better keep the old one in cooker, FF3 features a huge increase of
memory consumption, it can be nice to keep FF2 as an alternative for
now.

FF2 will be supported by upstream for a while, so no need to drop it.

Again, I'm against it.

We aren't doing that for other applications, I don't see any incentive
to do so for this one (except adding more work to people for no result).

Well, with a huge number of tabs opened, FF3 can leak dozens of MB per
hour, while FF2 only leaks a few MB

Well it is no a "leak" FF3 stores tabs is a memory.

Default setup is set ut unlimited, you can control this with this
option:

browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo

As Secteam will be using mozilla-firefox for updates for some time would
it not make sense to keep it kicking around anyway. The cooker package
is the universally used one for all updates AFAIK....

Well.... two comments:

1) The new firefox 3.0.1 does not seem to pull in xulrunner (so I doubt
it's built against it).

2) The new libsqlite still crashes it so I'm guessing the BC possibility
is now out the window and the general concept of "bug" or poor API use
has started giggling from the side lines.
