[Cooker] OT: About the Mandriva Install festHi,
I mail to lugs@... like 3 weeks ago and i didnt receive a response, this is normal? i think the time is walking and the cds will not arrive on time. Sorry for write this to the cooker list but maybe someone from mandriva read this, in this way. |

I know a particular person is supposed to be reading that line and responding to the messages, but this does not appear to be happening. I've recently sent a mail to various people pointing out the problem in the hopes of getting something done about it. -- adamw |

This is not an excuse for not answering, but as the distro was only finished one week ago, the CDs/DVDs do not exist yet so they would not have been sent anyway... |

So, any news? in my University another guy from Ubuntu is also making a Install Fest, they already have the cds (hundreds) i think i will have to cancel the Mandriva Install Party in El Salvador because i have no info at all, and the rector wants it, to take me seriosly. I think Mandriva is a better distro than the one for humans, but this really dissapoint me :-( -- http://dalfa.org http://drakedalfa.blogspot.com Si nos tomamos el tiempo de leer largas man-pages y detallados howtos, ¿porque no tomarnos el tiempo de leer la Biblia y ser verdaderamente libres? no solo en nuestra pcs sino también de toda condenación. |

I already made your point (that people don't feel confident arranging their events until they actually have the stuff in hand). I also said it would be a good idea to send out an acknowledgement in advance of sending out the materials. I don't know if they're going to take either of these points into account. -- adamw |

I plane to orgenize the event in Israel - Should I expect a load of non-localized One CD's to arrive few days before the actual date or will Mandriva send a full (free?) version? Regards Dotan |

They dont know my name or my address i put info in the wiki about the place for the installation but not my personal address. |

I believe as I thought was obvious, I can think of about two dozen different ways to handle the whole shebang better, but I'm not in charge of it nor do I have any control over it, so it's a bit pointless asking me. :) -- adamw |
