Description of problem:
I have just installed Mandriva Linux 2008 PowerPack on my new computer which has ASUS M2N-E SLI motherboard with integrated C-Media CM6501 soundcard. On ASUS webpage they describe it as C-Media CM6501 onboard 8-channel Superior audio CODEC (transfer audio signal over USB bus). But the problem is tht the sound is not working at all. I have tried upgrading the kernel to 2.6.22.12-desktop-1mdv but it didn't help. I also tried to set it from Mandriva Control Center > HardDrake. I can see the card under Unknown devices > PnP Audio Device, but there is no option to select a driver.
I don't know what else to do to get the sound working.
