[Antville-dev] Is anyone interested in Antville 1.2?

Hi there,

is there still an interest in a new Antville version or has everybody left the
building in favour of twoday.net?

I'm asking because I think the current version in the CVS is a big improvement
over the latest official release. It needs a bit of work, though, but it
deserves to be released.

I would volunteer to get through all the CVS branches, evaluate some
contributions from others, put the cool things together and call it 1.2 ;-)

Please let me know what you think.

Hi Kris,

I greatly welcome your initiative to keeping Antville alive. At least, for
the one-off update for a release of Anville 1.2.
I am no programmer but would feel pleased to give some input, for instance,
in project (this one-off ;-) management or communications.
Anyway, after Tobi stepping back, at least the feedback of the rest of the
core developing team (Hannes and Robert, actually, they have not replied to
my email inquiries) would be helpfull, because I think they are the
maintainer or admins of
- this mailinglist (antville-user, and antville-dev)
- the CVS
- the project.antville.org website

(It looks for me that we are going to do some sports but don't know yet
whether the housekeeping staff gives us the keys for the gym.)

Kris, it would be great to publish a tiny announcement on
project.antville.org, or update the release notice/changelog at
http://project.antville.org/about/56/

'Alternatively, what about posting a brief changelog to this list? Just give
it a start.

no worries, kris is the best man for the job right now and he enjoys my
full confidence.

thus, he will get any key to any place in the gym (although its
probably rather a club house ;)

in fact, kris actually *is* the housekeeping staff, and i only will
give him a hand until he knows about all the hidden closets.

i hope that clears some more things up.
