Presenters: Paul Mohammadi, Gary Brocks, Mehboob Alam,

There will be several sessions each with its own focus.

Quick Tip Session 1, Paul Mohammadi (15 min):
3D buttons (v 2004.x)
Create a rich user interface using 3D buttons. Extend the usage of 3D  
buttons beyond mere Buttons.  Embed data and other characteristics in  
to a 3D button.

Quick Tip Session 2, Gary Brocks (15 min):
Resolving a pointer to an array of pointers

Quick Tip Session 3, Mehboob Alam (15 min):
iPhone demo and Q & A

Quick Tip Session 4, Paul Mohammadi (20 min):
Create special visual effects Subforms (v 2004.x)
Incorporate Splitters, resizable objects, and the use of multiple  
layers and various 4D commands and routines to make sophisticated  
subforms.  Use 3D buttons and other graphical elements such as  
Thermometers, Rulers and Dials at the Row level to enhance the user  
experience.

Quick Tip Session 5, NYCR4DUG attendees (25 min):
Quick tips, and demos: Just show up and do it (no need to let us know  
before hand)

The evening's proposed schedule is as follows*:

8:45         Quick Tip Session  5
9:10         QA, open discussion.
9:30         Meeting ends, adjourn to a local establishment for talk,  
food and drink (s)

* times are flexible, depending on the presenters and participants  
preferences.

About NYCR4DUG
The New York City Regional 4D User group holds monthly meetings to  
share information related to database application development for  
developers specializing in the 4th Dimension platform, and to foster  
contact among those developers.
Though the group is primarily comprised of seasoned professionals,  
newcomers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Each month's meeting includes Q&A and Keynote presentations.
Programmers, systems analysts, database specialists, managers, users,  
those experienced with 4D, and those interested in learning more  
about application development using 4D, are encouraged to attend.

About Paul Mohammadi:
Paul has been a 4D developer for over 15 years. He has been living in  
the New York City area for the past 30 years. He is an independent  
developer who continues to develop database solutions for large scale  
deployment at Fortune 500 companies. His passions include  
snowboarding, surfing, running and 4D.

About Gary Brocks:
Gary is a 4D Application Developer and Technical Trainer based in New  
York City. Gary has developed or reengineered applications in the  
investment banking, pharmaceutical, medical, print and electronic  
media industries, and in the non-profit sector (Grants  
Administration).  Gary is also active as a technical trainer, and a  
technical marketing specialist. Gary was employed by 4D Inc. as a  
Technical Trainer from 1990 - 1995, and as a Software Evangelist from  
2002 - 2003.

About Mehboob Alam:
Mehboob is a business application developer in New York City.   As a  
technical consultant and in-house developer, he has used 4D for    
over 18 years. Mehboob has been an active member of the 4D community  
for many years and is highly regarded by his peers for his  
knowledgebase contributions through his on-line activities.

Directions to Saint Peter's Church at The Citicorp Center
Near by subway lines:
E or V trains to Lexington Ave station (at 53rd Street)
4, 5, or 6 trains to the 59th Street station (on Lexington Avenue),  
then walk south on Lexington Avenue.
6 train to the 51 Street station (on Lexington Avenue), walk north 2  
blocks.

Directions upon arriving at Saint Peter's Church at The Citicorp Center
(You may want to print this, finding the entrance to St. Peter's and  
finding the Committee Room are easiest if these directions are used)

The entrance to Saint Peter's Church is on 54th Street between  
Lexington Ave and 3rd Avenue.
Upon entering you will see the reception desk. Take the elevator on  
your left (opposite the reception desk) down to level LL2 / Theater  
Level. At the Theater Level, walk straight through the lobby, and  
though a set of reddish fire doors. Continue up a short flight of  
stairs (about 6 steps) and straight ahead to the 2nd door on the  
right, the door for the Committee Room.
