Is this something where the volume of e-mails to be added to the DB make it impractical to just copy and paste? |

I use a similar setup, except POPit flaked out on me in a couple
of months. I’ve used mail.it for a few years now on my “robot”
with very few issues.

Subject: Re: Adding an email to a record
Hi
I have a database
that stores all emails that require saving and relates them back to a
record.
I have a email
address on the server, which any email can be cc'd to. The outgoing mail
has CASEIDXXXXXX in the subject line and this is used to relate the email back
to the case number, where the xxxxxx is the case number. The calculation
looks for the word CASEID and then extracts the ID.
I also have a domain
on my server, which accepts all main to it, the domain is ficticious and easy
to type m.co ... this is used to forward any mail that has been recieved.
So the users can forward email to xxxxxx@... ..
again I can get the caseid from the prefix to the domain and relate it to my
case record.
I then use the POP3it
plugin to get the mail from the server. I also store all the attachments
in containers within the database, which makes archiving closed cases a breeze.
Hope this concept can
help you out.
S
P Please consider the
environment before printing this email
