Issue with MultiByte languages & 4D Plugin API.The following only applies if you use your plugins on so called 'multi byte' language systems. (e.g. Chinese/Japanese/etc)
In that case you should be aware that the 4D Plugin API.cpp does conversions between the macintosh character set and the ansi character set. While this is perfectly okay US/European systems, it will give big problems on Chinese/Japanese systems. You will need to replace eCS_Macintosh with eCS_Ansi in the ToUserString(..) and FromUserString(..) methods in the 4DPluginAPI.cpp. Note that the constant 'sUserCharSet' should also have the value 'eCS_Ansi', but this is the default on windows systems (unless you've called PA_UseMacCharacters() ) Best regards, Patrick de Boer. ********************************************************************** 4D Plugins hosted by 4D, Inc. http://www.4D.com/ Did you know?
