[1] New 4D Partner Program Benefit: Hotfix Access

4D is pleased to the immediate availability of our newest service for 4D
Partners, Hotfix. The goal of this service is to give Corporate and
Solutions Partners access to intermediate versions of their 4D products in
between major product releases.

Every day, our QA and R&D departments work to improve our software and
correct bugs or issues that come up. Because each release involves
substantial quality control and production processes, our standard pace of
product upgrades is typically every 3 or 4 months.

However, there are some cases where a developer encounters a specific
problem in their application with no workaround, and which can have critical
consequences for their customers or end-users. At times like that, it's
frustrating for users to have to wait for the next upgrade, or for us to
deliver a client-specific version without allowing other potentially
interested users to benefit from it.

Now, 4D Partners won't have to wait as long. As each new update becomes
available, they will be able to download it without having to wait for the
next full product release.

Like other software updates, not every Hotfix will be applicable to all
customers. Each release will be fully documented, and we strongly encourage
Partners to test each one carefully before implementing it.

The Hotfix program is only open to current Corporate and Solutions Partners.
