Aurora, Texas, July 22, 2008 -- Comm-Unity Networking Systems (CNSPlug-ins)
extends DevCon discount through end of July and recaps DevCon 2008 news.

DevCon 2008 Recap
We really enjoyed our time at DevCon this year.  We saw many old friends,
and made many new ones. Several people coming by our booth said they were
new to FileMaker and did not know much about plug-ins yet.  They seemed
pretty excited as we told them the many ways that plug-ins can extend the
features of FileMaker. We were also excited to see plug-ins in the limelight
throughout the conference and even featured in the opening keynote.

DevCon discount Extended to July 31
This year, we would like to extend our DevCon discount through the end of
July.  Contact us to find out how you can get 15% off of your order.  If you
are an FMPug member, you can get 25% off of your order. To contact us about
the discounts, send an email to sales@....

"What's new?"
The question above is asked year after year without fail. If you were unable
to make it to DevCon this year or were not able to make it by our booth, the
following is a recap of new items for this year:

SMTPit Pro
We recently released a new version of SMTPit Pro that is server compatible.
Now you can use all the features of SMTPit Pro on the server using server
side scripts, custom web publishing, and instant web publishing.  The
release also addresses UNC paths, variables in merge fields, and several bug
fixes. More information about SMTPit Pro can be found at
<http://www.smtpit.com>.

FTPit Pro
The long awaited follow up to our classic FTP plug-in has been dragged out
of the dungeon and into our public labs spotlight. Though still in beta,
this beast of a plug-in is proving to be very robust and feature rich. More
information about FTPit Pro can be found at <http://labs.cnsplug-ins.com>.

MMRegEx
If you know what Regular Expressions are, this plug-in is sure to capture
your attention. If you have never heard of regular expressions, imagine
being able to describe pieces and parts of text to extract and replace
content.  For example, you can search for ST, STR, or STRT and replace it
with STREET all in one statement.  You could also do things like validate
the syntax of an email address, or extract the urls from a page in a web
view. More information about MMRegEx can be found at
<http://labs.cnsplug-ins.com>.

CNS Menu
A recent update to CNS Menu added more power to our quick menu syntax.  The
new QuickMenu symbols allow you to alter the appearance of a QuickMenu by
prefixing the menu item with a symbol to bold, italicize, underline, check
mark, bullet, or diamond the item.  You can also disable the item or add
modifier keys. More information about CNS Menu can be found at
<http://cnsmenu.cnsplug-ins.com>.

MMScript
MMScript_ShellExecute has been added to allow shell access on both Mac and
Windows.  Shell access from FileMaker opens up a whole new world of features
such as sorting data, file tasks, image tasks, and any other command line
tool that you are fond of using. More information about MMScript can be
found at <http://mmscript.cnsplug-ins.com>.

Cooking With Plug-ins
This year we skipped handing out pens and magnets and letter openers and the
like to bring you something much more useful. This 80 page book contains
"Over 50 plug-in recipes from world-renowned developer kitchens" as the
(corrected) tag line reads. Recipes cover topics such as email, shell
scripting, QuickLook, color, web services, tooltips, script triggers, audit
logs, image information, and more.  The book will be released for sale later
this summer and will have a companion website to go with it. If you have any
questions or comments on the book, please feel free to email us at
info@....

About CNS Plug-ins
Comm-Unity Networking Systems, or CNS Plug-ins as it is better known, was
founded by brothers Jesse and Jake Traynham in 1996 as a web design firm. A
few years later, we began creating plug-ins as our interest in FileMaker
increased. Our first plug-in was the ever so popular SMTPit, and SMTPit Pro
remains extremely popular to this day.

Even though we have been in the business many years, it still seems like we
are just getting started. We have many more ideas than we have time, so
visit our website from time to time to see what we have been up to.
