A couple of my friends use what I've heard is a new feature with MSN
Messenger which lets you sign in at several locations at once. With a few
minutes interval they keep automatically starting conversations with me,
with both of their login-locations appearing as separate persons in the
room.

Pidgin needs to realize that those two instances of <name> is the same
user.
