[65cat] [other] PHP Learning Trail doc reviewHi, As I'm learning the use of PHP build by following the resouces on PHP Learning Trail (http://www.netbeans.org/kb/trails/php.html), I found some things that need to be updated. And also have some suggestion for the existing tutorial. Should I post it to this forum like what Jacek did (Subject: Doc review: Introduction to the JavaServer Faces Framework) ? I'm new to this sort of thing, so maybe there's some guideline on how to do this? Kindly please inform me the link to any existing guideline if any. Thank you. Yudi Setiawan --Kind Regards,

Hi Yudi, I have found no other approach to report doc reviews but sending it to the netcat mailing list. Do the same until someone says us to do otherwise (nobody complained during netcat 6.0 so I think it's the preferred approach). Be as picky as possible as far as doc review goes. The more thorough review it passes now the better for NetBeans documentation in general. Try to find different aspects of how to make the same stuff better/quicker/fancier. The more tips and tricks the docs show the merrier. Jacek -- Jacek Laskowski Notatnik Projektanta Java EE - http://www.JacekLaskowski.pl |

Re: [65cat] [php] PHP Learning Trail doc reviewHi Yudi,
First of all, thanks for reviewing our documents. Your feedbacks and suggestions are very welcome. Please go ahead to send them to this alias. In order to receive quicker response, please add [php] in your email subject (like I did in this email). Otherwise, we may miss your emails. I am attaching Jirka's email related to tutorial review, you may find it useful. Jirka, there isn't any PHP related document listed in your wiki page: http://wiki.netbeans.org/NetBeansTutorialsForCommunityReview Would you please add them into it? List of PHP documents can be found here: http://www.netbeans.org/kb/trails/php.html Thanks, Hong Yudi Setiawan wrote: > Hi, > > As I'm learning the use of PHP build by following the resouces on PHP > Learning Trail (http://www.netbeans.org/kb/trails/php.html), I found > some things that need to be updated. > And also have some suggestion for the existing tutorial. > > Should I post it to this forum like what Jacek did (Subject: Doc > review: Introduction to the JavaServer Faces Framework) ? > I'm new to this sort of thing, so maybe there's some guideline on how > to do this? > Kindly please inform me the link to any existing guideline if any. > > Thank you. > > > -- Kind regards, > > Yudi Setiawan > > Hello team, while we are waiting for the NetBeans 6.5 Beta I would like to ask you for review of documentation that is either new or was written for NetBeans 6.0/6.1. Now we would like to know if the tutorials are compatible with NetBeans 6.5 user interface and that objectives of the tutorials are achievable without problems. We have created a Wiki page [1] listing all documentation that needs such review. No matter if you want to learn something new or you have enough experience in a specific technology and just want to verify that our tutorials are good. Please select some tutorial, put your name into "Reviewer" cell to let others know that you are reviewing it and once you finish your work put the 6.5 OK icon there. If you have some feedback, send it to responsible Docs writer mentioned in the last column and CC: me. Each review is worth 5 CAT points! :-) And please don't take more than 1 tutorial at a time. Thanks for your help with documentation review! -Jirka [1] http://wiki.netbeans.org/NetBeansTutorialsForCommunityReview |

Re: [65cat] [php] PHP Learning Trail doc reviewHi Hong,
I added 3 "Getting Started" PHP tutorials to our offer [1]. We are considering addition of the configuring and CRUD tutorials as well.
