Comment(by jmr@...):

 I don't know how aqbanking3 is managing to skip installing its gwenhywfar3
 dependency, but try installing gwenhywfar3 manually first.

Comment(by macsforever2000@...):

 I have merged aqbanking3 and gwenhywfar3 into aqbanking and gwenhywfar
 respectively. Here's the cheat sheet to get gnucash installed:

 {{{
 sudo port selfupdate
 sudo port -pf uninstall gnucash aqbanking aqbanking3 gwenhywfar
 gwenhywfar3
 sudo port install gnucash
 }}}

 The above should be run even if you currently have gnucash installed to
 handle updates going forward.

 Sorry for the confusion on all this!

 Thanks for the help. Unfourtunatly nothing seem to work. I can't work out
 what I am doing wrong! I hope this all helps someone else. I am using the
 very latest Xcode tools could this be a problem?

 I wanted to make a clean install so I uninstalled Macports, re-installed
 Macports. Gnucash install failed. I then did the steps outlined in the
 previous post. Still no joy. Logs below:
