Summary: ploblem with shared libraries under ubuntu

Initial Comment:
Good morning,
 When I run Player 2.0.4  (under Stage)compiled by gcc version 4.2.3 with Ubuntu 8.04.1(kernel 2.6.24), by the command:

 player simple.cfg

it exits with the message :

* Part of the Player/Stage/Gazebo Project [http://playerstage.sourceforge.net].

* for details.

error   : Sorry, no support for shared libraries, so can't load plugins.
error   : You should install libltdl, which is part of GNU libtool, then re-compile player.
error   : failed to load plugin: libstageplugin
Segmentation fault

but I have this library.

how can I resolve it?

thanks
Alberto
