I study java have 1 year! And like Robcode very much !but i am not good at it!anybody can help me????????

I am entertaining the idea of teaching a after school "intro to
programming course"... To be honest I haven't played much with
Robocode yet, but has anybody taught any youngsters to program with
Robocode?
