Problems with SEPY and dual processors?

We've experienced some problems with sepy. On pc with pentium D, two processors, SEPY runs stabel if limited to one processor. But on the newest Core 2 Duo boxes, SEPY is unstable even when running on one core only. It just dissapears, no error box or nothing. And it uses a lot of cpu, much more than on the weaker pentium D box. Anyone else experiencing these type of problems.
(Both machines are running win XP, sp2. The most problematic pc, core 2 duo has a very clean install. Curiously, Trackmania nations is also buggy on this - though sepy and trackmania problems might not be related in any way)
