When did Kraftwerk transform this song from a paean to the possibilities of a glorious future, whose skies are filed with radio transmissions:

to a nuclear call-to-disarm warning of a dire future, whose skies are filled with Krypton 85:

? ? ?

The latter version makes a nice follow-up to the "Nuclear Waste" (Gong/Hawkwind/Edgar Broughton Band members—and Sting) disc...

When Kraftwerk re-worked Radioactivity in the early 90s for their remix
album The Mix, they changed the lyrics substantially, referring to
Chernobyl, Sellafield and Hiroshima along the way, and changing one of
the refrains from simply "Radioactivity" to "Stop Radioactivity."
