I tried the "upload file" feature in DWR 2.1.m4, it works!

Do you have plans for implementing similar "download file" feature?
Invoking this method would make the browser to show the built-in "Opening ..." dialog.

Invoking this method would make the browser to show the built-in "Opening ..." dialog.
The service would have "download" method with HttpServletResponse argument. It would be the responsibility of the service developer to write InputStream into the response.
The missing piece is the JS code which invokes the service method. Instead of using XmlHttpRequest, it would use hidden IFrame.
