Earlier today I was messing around with my danian cards and checking to see if there was any interesting strats you could do with them. Then I came across a very arousing card effect. Two of my cards (a creature called Kannen and a battlegear by the name of Talisman of the mandiblor) have the effect of sacrifice: return target mandiblor from your discard pile onto any free space on the board (in the talisman’s case you sac the creature wielding the battlegear), which in short means “sacrifice me to revive a mandiblor anywere” the key phrase here is “in any open space”.
So by starting a match by attacking with a fairly strong mandiblor (ibiian comes to mind) then using only the most weakest attacks and have him eventually be destroyed (this also helps in weeding out your attack hand of any cruddy cards you may have drawn early). After a few turns when your opponent has moved his creatures and open space in his rear battlefield activate Kannen’ ability and resurrect your fallen mandiblor into the deepest part of your opponents battlefield, where he keeps all his mugicians and weaker monsters. If your lucky your opponent may even be blocked by his own creatures and cannot effectively retaliate against this new threat immediately, allowing you to quickly down a few mugicians and dractically hurt his mugic count. This also helps to reduce pressure to your front line if your danian battlemasters are having trouble breaking your opponent’s front line.
With this method you can effectively teleport your mandiblors behind enemy lines and strike at their weaker mugic users that most people keep far in their battlefield, then as they rush to destroy that creature, strike back with your front line and pincer their team.
So what do you guys think of this idea?
