" unexpected Error " in nvoglnt.dllHi All,
I am unsure how to deal with those errors... I develop a viewer for 3d geodata [larger datamasses]... when I did this using jdk1.4.x +j3d1.3.1 with a gf76 two years ago everything works fine... now I develop on a winXP 64 bit using 64bit version of jdk 1.6.0_05-b13 & j3d 1.51 on a nvidia quadro FX5500. the error occurs very rare at the developer-mashine, but when running on the target laptop (a dualcore, winxp-32 bit with quadro 730M either an other with singlecore CPU, winXp32 and nvidia quadro4 500/550 gl...the software crashes very frequently... I post the last log in the hope anybody has an idea for a "quick" workarround or a simple solution either for tipps what to do with such error.logs. I am unable to desribe when the error occurs it is complete random in my eyes, so I stoped usage of sending a bugreport to the given URL... in hope for some ideas gmrolf the hs_err_pidXXX # # An Re: " unexpected Error " in nvoglnt.dllDon't know much about your issue.
I did a bit od google search. I found thus. It seems it is ATI drivers the issue. Is is ATI your graphic card(s) ? If yes, perhaps get latest drivers (OpenGl if you use java3D OpenGl target, DirectX if you use DirectX target). Re: " unexpected Error " in nvoglnt.dllthanks, but as written all cards are nvidia quadros in different versions. most having the newest driver....I believe it is not inside the driver otherwise it is in any driverversion or it is still unfixed since several versions....not all cards having the newest driver...
I guess it is something inside j3d or jdk..... but I am unable to figure it out...most common is crashing direct after the first keynavigation or button navigation is made.... Re: " unexpected Error " in nvoglnt.dllHi
A few weeks ago I faced a problem like this, but on Vista. The solution we found was to downgrade (!!!) the JRE to 1.6.0_01. It was the 1.6.0_05-13, just like yours. I don't believe it is related to Java3D, but to JVM Perhaps you have the same problem... Re: " unexpected Error " in nvoglnt.dllIf you don't wish to downgrade your jvm, Java 3D works great with 6u10-beta (Java SE 6 Update 10 beta) on Vista.

Re: " unexpected Error " in nvoglnt.dllhi,
hmmm...I'd triy the downgrad....but without success.....at first all seem to work but at the moment the presentation starts....my software crashed 2 times when adding a rotPathAnimation into the scenegraph....pling away...[at the moment I have no access to the errorLogs, which were written...] the third time it started an run as desired..... anyway...wasn't the solution... could it be possible.... 1.) I developed the software with java/java3d-64bit with the described versions at this system I got that error 1time per ~1000 starts...so I'd kept in mind.... after starting the software at 32bit systems it crashed as described....so could it be possible that this is a result of a 64bit compilat? 2.) I'd developed a nearly similar software with jdk1.4.2X and j3d 1.3.1 and I had never such errors.....is there something hardchanded since these versions? I'll be glad for any further hints, regrads gmrolf [Message sent by forum member 'gmrolf' (gmrolf)] http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=281073 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: interest-unsubscribe@...
